If this is French cinema's resurrection then I'll hibernate till they make something that really surprises me. On the other hand, its definitely worth a watch for a honest and in-your-face depiction of prison life (yawn), mafia operating in and out of prison (yawn*yawn = ?) and because IMDB has rated it at 8.1 (my jaw just broke at the seams), and YES it is a Cannes 2009 winner. Yes, definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen prison movies with a mafia/drug cartel angle to it. In case you are fed up with this shit, go watch this (one of my Favorite comedies - seriously funny and its Imdb rating is 3.8 - a cult film in the making!)
