Vampire Weekend is one of those bands. You know - those bands who you don't like because they have an oddly familiar (and odd) name and everyone is talking about them (at least on the places I frequent on the web) but you don't feel like getting into them because they are way too popular for your liking.

Sorry for that. So where was I? Yeah, VW are that kind of band....and when you finally listen to them you feel like kicking yourself for not having done so earlier because this album is like a happiness pill. The music is jumpy, happy, wounded, sad, jumpy happiness - its so simple, its complicated. Do listen to Diplomat's Son - if you don't feel happy after that then kill him.
And they make nice, cheesy videos..here's one...
Also, that song is really apt because I'm going on a holiday. Yeah!!!
